Italian License Plates
Italy fist issued license plates in 1903 and through 1095, the full name of the provinces and a maximum three digit number was painted in black on a white license plate. From 1905 through 1927, Italian license plates was an oblong metal with a issuing proving number embossed in red and the number in black. For example, a license plate which begins with the red number 53 was issued in the Roma province whereas a license plate beginning with red number 63 was issued in Torino. (more…)
